#CaptureCornish Selfie Picture Competition

Can you #CaptureCornish?

We have hidden 8 replica images of Norman Cornish’s paintings in secret locations in 4 former pit villages in Teesdale – Butterknowle, Cockfield, Evenwood and Woodland.  All the clues are available at each location and you can download them here as well.

WOODLAND
Here’s one clue to make you think.
When you’re feeling thirsty, or in need of a drink,
You’ll find #CaptureCornish right on the brink.
(But it’s easy to miss – so mind you don’t blink!)

A place to worship, made of tin.
When you find #CaptureCornish you’ll have a right grin-
It’s so not a gamble, it’s really no sin,
Just click the shutter and send it in.

BUTTERKNOWLE
Here’s a new place that’s opened selling all sorts of cheese;
You’ll get coffee and cake – and more, if you please.
Come at the right time – you’ll even get teas,
Plus #CaptureCornish – you’ll find me with ease!

Now look behind a gem shining bright,
The sign’s up above, at some height…
#CaptureCornish is there, posted right out of sight
Just find me here and you’ll be right

COCKFIELD
They don’t sell cabbages, but do sell ham,
They do sell chops and may sell jam.
Just open the door and here I am.
#CaptureCornish right here (and buy some lamb!).

There’s a store in the village selling all sorts of stuff,
Just look around (hope you’re not in a rush!).
In general, this clue should just be enough –
#CaptureCornish is here – it’s really not tough.

EVENWOOD
Find Cornerstone and your path will be true.
Behind the church and hidden from view
There’s a sensory garden which answers this clue.
#CaptureCornish is here – just waiting for you.

And last here’s a shop selling all that is sweet,
Stop here – you’ll find it’s just such a treat.
And hidden within – guess who’ll you meet?
#CaptureCornish is here (but he’s not to eat!).

Follow the clues to find the pictures then take a ‘selfie’ with the image and post it to social media using #CaptureCornish and tag in @NHeartlandsIf you are posting via Facebook, please change the settings to “public” on your post otherwise we won’t see it.  Or email your entry to info@northernheartlands.org
