CIF Round Two – Evenwood Express – Evenwood, Ramshaw & District History Society
A project involving the local community in understanding and celebrating the heritage wealth of Evenwood and Ramshaw. Community groups have been actively involved in artist-led research and heritage skills workshops creating artistic works inspired by points of interest within the landscape around these villages. This project reflects a growing determination by the community to dispel the stigma surrounding it as a former pit village and to project confidence by celebrating the heritage that contributes to village identity.
